Another informational flyer is being distributed to the voters. This other flyer suggests that it contains the “straight facts” about the vote to increase taxes on August 3, 2010. It also states that “untruths” are being spread about the upcoming vote. View this other flyer and commentary. It is disappointing that the authors of this other flyer characterize additional information and perspectives as “untruths.” A democracy functions best with an informed electorate. Further, a democracy functions best when elections are held at a time which maximizes voter turnout. Please vote on August 3, 2010. If you cannot vote on this date please vote by absentee ballot.
